Once again PROMAX attended the NAB trade show, which took place in Las Vegas (USA) from April 16th to 19th 2023, where the ATLAS NG analyzer - the flagship of the company - has been introduced: A last-generation 6 GHz Spectrum Analyzer that has raised a great expectation among the visitors.

The universal Broadcast analyzer
Regardless the measurement needs, or broadcast standard, the ATLAS NG is the all-in-one tool for broadcast professionals. The attendees could see first-hand the versatility of this instrument; they found the in-depth analysis of ATSC-3.0 and DVB-S2x signals of special interest. The ability of analyzing the spectrum up to 6 GHz guarantees covering the S and C bands, where an increasing number of technologies are all fiercely competing for bandwidth.
The device detects TI (Terrestrial Interferences) and can help to find ways to mitigate 5G interferences among others, turning the new ATLAS NG into a truly certifier of the network operation.

Fast spectrum analyzer, intuitive as a smartphone
The fast spectrum analyzer, as well as the great connectivity such as Fiber Optics, IPTV, OTT, WiFi, and even the SFP+ module for future applications caught the attendee’s eye.
The visitors could check by themselves how the features are accessible in a very simple way, thanks to the intuitive navigation menus and the large 10” multitouch screen. The cell-phone-like operation allows the user to add apps as required.

The RF measurements are complemented by an SDI measurement tool that displays the video and audio as well as the Eye Diagram. That makes it a very powerful tool for a broadcaster since it can serve all departments, from the studio to the transmitter, including the SNG trucks and OB Vans.
Our attendees also welcomed the remote control . The ATLAS NG allows monitoring the analyzer from anywhere in the world.
