The regional Office of Sustainable Development of the regional Government of Castile-La Mancha has decided to supply their five provincial offices with modern equipment to allow their agents to professionally guard over the regional telecommunications.
For that purpose, it has been chosen the RANGER Neo 2 professional RF analyzer from PROMAX with several options and accessories to allow them to troubleshoot any issue that may appear in several areas of the telecommunications: FM radio, the upcoming DAB digital radio, the present-day DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) based in DVB-T and the upcoming 2nd-generation Digital Terrestrial Television based in DVB-T2 that is in its early stages of introduction.
PROMAX equipment can be used as field TV spectrum analyzers and also to perform signal monitoring tasks in vehicles equipped for RF Drive Testing. Thanks to this all-in-one philosophy it is possible to dramatically reduce costs, both in the purchase and in the maintenance of the measuring equipment.
Additionally, all of these signals will be monitored and depicted in signal coverage maps to ensure that all the authorized licenses are operating properly in their assigned spectrum allocated frequency bandwidth and providing the required coverage. Also they will be able to detect the interferences that may be produced by unwanted or unauthorized broadcasters or even those produced by new technologies such as 5G and 4G.
CREATING SIGNAL COVERAGE MAPS WITH PROMAX SOLUTIONSThis way, thanks to the purchase of modern and precise equipment, the regional government of Castile La-Mancha takes a technological leap that places their offices in the forefront of the rest of institutions that perform spectrum surveillance tasks to ensure the signals reach citizens in good conditions and protect them from unwanted broadcasts.
Other institutions, such as the Secretary of State of Telecommunications, has been using this equipment for years to ensure the proper use of broadcast bands.
