PROMAX up by 20% at the IBC

September 1, 2011.

Our stand in Amsterdam was quite busy in this edition of the show with about 20% more visitors than last year. Most requested demonstration was the TV EXPLORER HD+, a reference in today’s challenging broadcast industry, mainly because of its powerful DVB-T2 measurement capabilities and its affordable price level, something of concern with present budget limitations everywhere.

Field strength meter TV Explorer HD+ including Dolby Digital Plus and DVB-T2

Additional to all the new measurements available on TV EXPLORER HD+ developed as a fruit of our close work with leading companies in the deployment of DVB-T2 networks, this field strength meter also includes Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) audio demodulation. PROMAX is a Dolby valued partner and as such participated in the on-camera interviews during the show.

With several iDTVs incorporating IP input and many more to come a good number of people showed also interest in our IPTV solution based on the DIGITAL TO TV digital television headend system.

Historically hotels have been mostly using video players or PC computers with composite video cards to reproduce the content, often produced by them, informing guests about the options available in their establishments. With the introduction of flat screen TVs and the consequent improvement in viewing quality, the old films or computer based presentations showing the hotel offerings are no longer acceptable.

Using our affordable headend equipment we can easily upgrade the info channel to High Definition which makes a big difference.

High definition is a better option for hotel info channels
