RETEVISION PURCHASES PROLINK-4C TV ANALYSER

The Spanish global telecommunications operator RETEVISION has just signed a contract to equip their field engineers with PROLINK-4C TV analyser. The instruments will be used to measure the parameters in their television and radio transmitting towers and relay stations all over Spain.

RM-204 PKWatch, MONITORING AND ALARM SOFTWARE

The PKWatch is a PC computer program based on Windows 98/2000/XP that permits to use the PROLINK-4 as a monitoring instrument for television and radio systems. The program allows to select the channels and parameters to measure. It also permits, after margins have been stabilised, to generate an alarm if values do not fall within them. The program will generate databases will all the results of the measured parameters, it is also able to generate graphs to evaluate the status of each channel under test.

The PKWatch may be of use for those application where it is necessary to know the signal condition at all times and where the datalogger included in the instrument is not sufficient. This may be the case for transmission towers, transmission and reception satellite systems and cable Headends.

PROMAX-10 QAM ANALYSER

PROMAX-10 is a multi purpose CATV Analyzer ideal for all size MSO's and contractors as a service and installation tool. The most outstanding feature of this unique meter is the capability to measure MER and BER on QAM digital channels but it is not missing any of the measurements a meter of its class must have.

PROLINK-4 TV & SATELLITE LEVEL METER

This new instrument comes to complete the already existing range of PROMAX measuring instrumentation. The PROLINK-4 is an instrument of reduced dimensions that incorporates all the measurements necessary for the installation, verification and maintenance of analogue and digital systems. It takes measurements of Bit Error Rate in all three digital modulations coexisting at the moment (QPSK, QAM and COFDM). Includes an spectrum analyser function as well as Transport Stream analysis and MPEG-2 decoder.

Equipped with Li+ batteries, it has an autonomy of more than 3 hours with a very reduced charging time and without the inconvenience of the memory effect. It is ideal for field use, for it has been designed with shock protectors to cope with drops and small hits. The entire instrument, including the front panel, is prepared so to support the changing environmental conditions such as dust and rain. The instrument comes with a carrying bag and a hard carrying case as an option.

RP-050 UHF & SATELLITE IF GENERATOR

On occasions it is necessary to make the installation and verification of UHF and IF satellite distribution system without the signal to test it. The RP-050 generates various pilots that permit to analyse the response of the system in both bands. The pilots are set at fix frequencies, one in the UHF band and three in the satellite band. Signal level can be set to 90 or 105 dBµV.

CALIBRATION CENTER IN SAO PAULO

The new calibration and distribution center in Sao Paulo will warrant a better service to our customers in Brasil, where the number of instruments has already reached a considerable volume.

New patent 'Digital-Analogue automatic identification’

A new patent has been awarded to PROMAX. This patent consists of a method for automatic identification of Digital or Analogue channels signals as well as the automatic configuration of the system to measure it.

RP-100 / RP-100Q RETURN PATH GENERATORS

To cover the return path testing needs we are introducing the RP-100 and RP-100Q signal generators designed for the testing, monitoring and maintenance of return path in CATV networks. These return path generators can deliver 2 (RP-100) or 4 (RP-100Q) frequency and level agile carriers that will be inserted in a remote location to be then monitored at the headend.
