QUALITY ASSURANCE. “IN CIRCUIT TEST”
Quality assurance has always been one of PROMAX priorities. Starting from the design process, manufacturing, maintenance and after sales technical service, PROMAX has never spared any effort to get the proper systems to assure a maximum quality level at each stage. The result is a production plant equipped with the highest standards in quality assurance and fully accredited with ISO9001 norms.
SMD technology has been a priority target since it was available. This technology permits manufacturing to be done in an automatic way, as well as reducing PCB space and increasing productivity. By using SMD machinery, reliability of PROMAX instruments has significantly increased. At present time, 99% of the components in new instruments are assembled automatically on the production lines. This is our third generation production plant.
For the past 10 years, PROMAX has been testing 100% of the boards with two In Circuit Test machines. It is true that these machines can assure a certain degree of quality, but cannot account for all problems that may be present in a printed circuit board.
PROMAX has now invested in a new In Circuit Test machine, a “Flying Probe” type with four heads. This new system is based on moving heads that adapt to each of the test points present in the Printed Circuit Boards. The machine guarantees high precision in a numerous range of analogue measurements. It also includes LCR isolated measurements that permit the detection of out of tolerance components. A sophisticated camera system facilitates the visual identification of other diverse problems such as off-centred, lack or misplaced components.
To resume, PROMAX has again taken a step further in the automation and quality assurance of our products; which permits us to maintain a competitive edge in production costs and miniaturization of our products.
PROMAX is a leading manufacturer of test and measurement systems, broadcast and TV signal distribution equipment. Our product lines include measuring instruments for cable TV, satellite TV, broadcast, wireless and fibre optics networks, FTTH and GPON analyzers. DVB-T modulators, IP streamers or IP converters (ASI, DVB-T) are among the company’s latest developments.
