PROMAX launches the first worldwide field meter ready for DVB-T2

The PROMAX TV EXPLORER family reaffirms its leadership taking a new step forward with the TV EXPLORER HD+, the only portable meter ready for the new digital terrestrial television standard for second generation (DVB-T2) and approved by Dolby Laboratories to decode Dolby Digital Plus.

TV Explorer HD+ selected by Finnish DVB-T2 operator

The new TV EXPLORER HD+ Analyser, developed by PROMAX, has been selected by the Finnish operator, Anvia Oy, as a reference instrument to drive the deployment of one of the first DVB-T2 commercial networks in the world.

PROMAX obtained FRANSAT PRO certification for its Digital To TV headend

FRANSAT PRO is the solution offered by EUTELSAT to cover shadow areas during DTT deployment in France. DTT channels are transmitted via satellite and through the headend developed by PROMAX in close collaboration with the French operator, these channels are converted back to COFDM to distribute them in communities.

Instrumentation to install FTTH

The incorporation of new ultra-fast access infrastructures means that the optical fibre it is arriving to every home (FTTH). This new context requires equipments such of the new generation of fibre optics intruments presented by PROMAX, which are easy to use and lightweight. Installers who are used to other technologies can use them very easily as they show results in a very understandable format.

PROMAX in the Media Facility project

By means of this project under the Avanza I+D program, the operators who manage broadcast networks may compile RF parameters (Level, MER, impulse response ...) from ICT facilities located in conflict zones and in areas of overlapping coverage in SFN networks. PROMAX's experience with IP technology, with its recognized monitoring systems and telecontrol PROWATCH TELMO and PROWATCH DEIDE 3, will be key in developing the project.

ASI-TS connection for TV EXPLORER HD

The TV EXPLORER HD features an essential characteristic for a TV analyser: the ASI-TS connectivity. With this feature you can monitor and analyse streams from other units, or transfer the stream demodulated by the TV EXPLORER HD to other equipment.

HDMI™ for TV EXPLORER HD

See the quality of a high definition signal effectively!
The TV EXPLORER HD features an HDMI™ interface to provide complete compatibility with other High Definition equipments. The HDMI™ interface is very useful to check on the client’s TV directly, identifying the effects easily.

USB On-The-Go for the TV EXPLORER HD

The TV EXPLORER HD is equipped with a "USB On-The-Go" bus that allows a port to act as a server or as a device. Equipments that have it, can use the USB link to connect to a PC as a device or to connect to another element, like a memory stick, as a host.

NetUpdate3: Your TV EXPLORER always up-to-date ... and much more

The NetUpdate 3 is a new free program to update automatically the firmware for the TV EXPLORER family. It keeps users informed about new available versions and allows to download new channel tables, monitoring measurements, make backups, print reports... and much more

Converting from and to IP

Continuing on with the expansion of the Digital to TV modular distribution system PROMAX now introduces two new elements to support those applications that use IP as a source of TV programmes or as a way to distribute the TV signals.
