IBC 2013 exhibition: Conclusions and new technologies

One more year, the figures of IBC are increasing and this year we can say that it was also noted in our stand. Amongst the visitors to our stand, the most wanted product was undoubtedly the new field strength meter HD RANGER 2: Its touch-screen, but especially its capability to combine three different worlds, radiofrequency, optical and IP, into one single equipment attracted the interest of many of our followers.

RDI and PROMAX announce new strategic parternship

This new two year strategic partnership will see PROMAX and RDI work together with its very latest test equipment and will support RDI in its continued work with at800 as 4G masts continue to be activated throughout the UK. Part of the partnership will see the RDI using the PROMAX HD RANGER+ meter to support training and audit work for installers and auditors across the UK.

PROMAX equipment ready for the digital dividend

In 2007, the World Radiocommunication Conference agreed to assign the band between 790 and 862 MHz to use it in communication services by mobile broadband in the European area. Since then, this frequency band it is known as “digital dividend”. The HD RANGER+ field strength meter is the tool that complements the work of the installer to make adjustments because of the digital dividend.

The last contribution of PROMAX to the world of telecommunications in cruises has been the acquisition of the HD RANGER+ field strength meter by the company ESS Hanika for its use on the cruise AIDAcara. PROMAX equipment has been used several times in cruise facilities.

Drive test GPS option for HD RANGER+ field strength meters

Adding this option to the HD RANGER+ makes it ideal to perform "drive test" signal coverage analysis being able to record different types of measurements and adding information about the time they are recorded and GPS location coordinates.

Measurements for ATSC and ISDB-T/Tb on the spot light at the Las Vegas show

With PROMAX booth number of visitors up by as much as 30%, this year's event confirms the interest in ATSC digital TV measurements even when analogue switch off is a thing of the past. MER, constellation and echoes were the three most spoken words in our booth through out the show.

PROMAX participates in the first worldwide UHDTV broadcast using DVB-T2

Several government agencies and private companies joined forces to make the first transmission worldwide of a DVB-T2 terrestrial signal in Ultra High Definition (also known by its acronym UHDTV). PROMAX is part of the consortium of companies (along with Abertis Telecom, Mier Communications and DualStream) developing the CAT.T2 project for the study of the future implementation of the new DVB-T2.

PROMAX supports DVB-T2 Lite at Mobile World congress

PROMAX ELECTRONICA participates in the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona February 25-28, as part of the NUCLIS CAT. T2 project. DVB-T2 Lite signals are being broadcast for the duration of the exhibition using channel 22.
