The classic major mistake: Using white PVC cable outdoors. UV rays cause the plastic to crack, sea moisture enters through capillary action, and salt corrodes the braiding. The result is a ruined cable that alters the system's impedance. Rainwater penetrates the cable and reaches homes by gravity. For outdoor use, an outdoor cable must be used.
