Continuing on with the expansion of the Digital to TV modular distribution system

now introduces two new elements to support those applications that use

as a source of TV programmes or as a way to distribute the TV signals.

Digital Terrestrial Television coverage for rural areas in Euskadi

equipment for the coverage of DTT in rural areas. In this case, the

Re-emitters in iso-frequency mode

mode, the DTT signals are broadcasted on the same frequencies that are received. In this type of configuration is essential to
avoid the coupling
between the transmitting and the receiving antenna. The lack of isolation between antennas causes that the receiving antenna receives the broadcasted signal.

Digital To TV brings digital television to Prades

headend, it has been possible to establish a technical solution that guarantees the continuity of reception to the residents.
Digital cable TV? This is easy!
DVB-S is the standard for digital satellite TV. DVB-T - for digital terrestrial TV. And DVB-C – for digital cable TV. So if you want to create the cable network to provide digital TV to a number of end users you need to equip all of them with DVB-C set-top-boxes. You will also need the DVB-C headend. But is this the most cost effective way? The experts from PROMAX say: no, you can make it simpler and cheaper!

68 satellite channels trans-modulated to COFDM in Alpe d’Huez (France)
Thanks to the installation of two
PROMAX Digital To TV (DTTV)
head-ends, now the residential community Maeva “
les Mélezes
" located in Alpe d’Huez (France) can now offer 68 digital channels from the satellites EUTELSAT Hot Bird 13°E and Atlantic Bird 5°W. The channels are injected into the coaxial network of the community, by using the COFDM digital modulation. By this way, in the apartments the flat-screen TVs with integrated DTT tuner can receive directly the channels.

Digital To TV: HDTV DVB-S2 receiver for your Cable TV system
Adding HDTV channels to your Cable TV network using
DT-302
is easy and cost-effective. Most of the HDTV content available nowadays is coming from satellite. Because of the higher bit rate of the high definition TV programmes this type of services are normally allocated in satellite transponders using 8PSK modulation (DVB-S2).

modular system. One interesting application is to directly “transmodulate” from QPSK to COFDM. This allows to deliver satellite programmes in COFDM preserving the original quality.

Most of the video generators which SONY use in the lines of production have been designed in the

laboratories following the SONY directives. PROMAX has been chosen to develop a complete centralised system to generate signal that it covers to all factory including different lines of production for digital terrestrial television (DTT).
